Rapid Action was founded in New Zealand by David Erikson in 1982 . Rapid Action found its start running White Water Rafting expeditions on the famed Rangitata Rapids, some of the wildest waterways in New Zealand. The company also extended to Switzerland and Austria, running canyoning expeditions & river rescue courses. As well as running Rapid Action David has worked for PUTNEY student travels since 1980 and coordinates trips for international high school students to New Zealand and Australia. Rapid Action also works closely with the RAF Air Training Cadets program and runs expeditions to Peru, Ecuador and the Yukon. Recently, Rapid Action has expanded to include PUTNEY's National Geographic and New York Times programs and runs cultural and photographic explorations to New Zealand. With over thirty years of experience in our field, Rapid Action endeavours to provide unique opportunities for high school students to experience overseas travel and explore some of the worlds most exciting destinations and to embark on some truly memorable adventures.
